1. License Grant

By purchasing TinyPixels, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Software for your personal or commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.

A single "Lifetime License" allows you to activate the Software on up to three (3) personal devices that you own and control. Future updates to TinyPixels are included at no additional cost for the lifetime of the product.

2. Free Trial Limitations

TinyPixels is available as a free trial with the following limitations:

  • Daily limit: Up to 25 images per day.
  • Batch size: Up to 5 images per compression job.
  • File size: Up to 5 MB per image.
  • Watch Folder: Not available in the free trial.

These limits reset daily. Purchasing a Pro license removes all restrictions.

3. Restrictions

You agree not to, and you will not permit others to:

  • License, sell, rent, lease, assign, distribute, transmit, host, outsource, disclose or otherwise commercially exploit the Software.
  • Modify, make derivative works of, disassemble, decrypt, reverse compile or reverse engineer any part of the Software.
  • Share your license key with unauthorized third parties.
  • Attempt to circumvent trial limitations through technical means, including but not limited to modifying application data, system clock manipulation, or reinstalling the application to reset usage counters.

4. Refund Policy

We offer a free trial of TinyPixels so you can evaluate the software before purchasing. As such, all sales are considered final. Refunds may be granted at our sole discretion under exceptional circumstances within 14 days of purchase. To request a refund, contact us at hello@tinypixels-app.com.

5. "As Is" Disclaimer & Data Loss

The Software is provided to you "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" and with all faults and defects without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted under applicable law, we expressly disclaim all warranties.

Regarding Data Loss: TinyPixels uses lossy compression algorithms by default. While quality loss is designed to be visually imperceptible, this process permanently removes image data. You acknowledge this inherent risk. We strongly recommend using the "Output to separate folder" setting rather than overwriting original files. We are not liable for any loss of original image data.

6. Compression Results & Expectations

Compression ratios vary significantly based on image content, format, and prior compression history. The following is a factual description of known limitations — not a defect:

  • Simple graphics and flat-colour images (mobile UI screenshots, illustrations, icons) typically achieve 60–90% file size reduction.
  • Complex desktop screenshots containing anti-aliased text, sub-pixel rendering, UI shadows, and gradients may achieve only 4–20% reduction when compressed as PNG. This is because the image is classified internally as "photo-like" and processed via lossless optimisation only. For significantly better results on this type of content, selecting WebP or AVIF as the output format is recommended.
  • Already-compressed JPEGs (from smartphones, cameras, or other software) typically yield 10–30% further reduction. It is technically unfeasible to achieve 70%+ reduction on an already-optimised JPEG without visible quality loss.
  • AVIF and WebP outputs generally produce the smallest file sizes for all image types. Selecting these formats explicitly will consistently outperform PNG-to-PNG compression.
  • Previously compressed files of any format will see diminishing returns compared to compressing from an uncompressed or raw source.

By using TinyPixels, you acknowledge that compression results are dependent on source image characteristics and that no specific reduction percentage is guaranteed.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall LiteApps Company, its directors, employees, or agents be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Software, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Software shall not exceed the amount you paid for your license.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email (if provided) or through an in-app notice. Continued use of the Software after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
